Recently a few members of the Hinsdale Central Hockey team dropped by to teach our friends at Willowbrook Corner about hockey!
They came prepared with gear and everyone got a chance to shoot the puck and learn some skills.

Chelios St. Patrick's Day Fundraiser - March 2019
On St. Patrick's Day 2019, some of the Chicago Blackhawks Alumni and other local celebs took on the Hinsdale Central Hockey Club in a friendly game for charity. The Alumni team included, Chris Chelios, Brian Campbell, Mark Bell, Reid Simpson and Steve Konroys, plus former Chicago Cubs pitcher, Ryan Dempster. Also appearing at the event was former Blackhawk Coach, Joel Quenneville. In addition to playing in the game, Hinsdale Central Hockey Club helped raise over $30,000 to benefit Cheli's Children's Foundation and Teen Cancer America.

2017 Shirley Ryan Ability Lab Sled Hockey Game
On December 17, 2017, 8 members of the HCHC were invited to participate in a practice game with the Shirley Ryan Blackhawks Sled Hockey Team. We were given this great opportunity thanks to the hockey club's successful Skyrise fundraising event. In a word it was awesome. The sled hockey team has 5 members who are going to the Paralympic games in South Korea in a few weeks and needless to say they did circles around our boys. For those of us who were there it was an evening that was both inspiring and humbling and we were in awe of the amazing athletes and their sportsmanship. There were a lot of laughs, many falls and turtles (couldn't get up), and we learned how fast and skilled some of the members of this sled team are. One of the best parts of the evening was the camaraderie that developed between both teams. There was a videographer who took some great footage which will be coming soon and our team photographer, Diane Naphin spent the evening capturing the spirit of the night. The HCHC participants were Lucian Dipofi, Robert Cremin, Alex Bogdonoff, Conor Donlevy, Rocky and Chris Araujo, Louis Naphin, and Sam Balice. Thank you SRALab Blackhawks Team, you gave us an evening we will never forget and we wish you the best of luck in South Korea next March.

2016 Hornet Sled Hockey Benefit Game
Hinsdale Central Hockey Club hosted a Hornet Sled Hockey Benefit Game on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. For the second year in a row the Hinsdale Central Red Devils have donated over $10,000 to the Hornet Sled Hockey program.
